Personality:
Hajime's a quiet, peaceful student who is also rather serious and determined at times. He acts like an older brother to younger students and is always ready to help out others. However, due to his stern appearance, some people tend to view him as "scary" or "intimidating" (this upsets him, but most people don't view him in this manner now anyways).

Hajime also suffers from low self-esteem at times and is often worrying about failing or letting people down. So he constantly works to improve himself. Hajime also loves reading and can often be found near the library. He is also working on writing a novel of his own, however, due to his lack of self-confidence, he has yet to complete a single chapter.

Because of his family status, Hajime is usually under pressure to excel at academics and just about anything else he is involved in. However, he has this underlying fear that no matter what he does, he will be overlooked because his older siblings have already achieved so much. He also suffers from confusion as to what he wants to achieve or who he really is at times.

(Hajime's a bit shy around females so he may have a harder time speaking with them. But if he gets to know the girl better, he opens up more and is able to speak normally with her. Edit: He's gotten a little bit better now? Maybe?)

Strengths:
Able to keep his cool during stressful situations
Pretty good at multi-tasking (though he prefers not to do so)
Pays close attention to detail and is a good listener
Works really well with teams (doesn't like to work alone)
Years of fencing has given him good experience for fighting
Hajime's a hard worker and is willing to do extra work if it would help others out

Weaknesses:
Low self confidence and tends to doubt himself a lot
Because he tends to focus on details, he may not pay attention to the big picture at times (which could cause trouble)
Tends to keep his worries and troubles to himself that it could distract him
He tends to look a bit stern or intimidating so people may not want to approach him (this upsets him and he can't really figure out why people think of his as intimidating)
At times, he has trouble trusting other people despite wanting to work with them.
Due to the fact that he's afraid that he will be overlooked, Hajime often works so hard to the point he exhausts himself when he doesn't need to.
Seems to have the bad luck of tripping over random items or people at times

History:
Hajime is the youngest of four brothers. Ever since he was child, he was always told about how talented his elder siblings were and it unintentionally put a lot of pressure on him to be successful as well. However, due to his siblings already being highly successful, he feels as if whatever achievement he gets will be overlooked.

Because he works hard to achieve good grades at school and had such a trusting nature, this lead to him making false friends who only hung around him for homework answers. Once he discovered what they were up to, Hajime stopped talking to his classmates all together for a while until he met his two best friends (who are unnamed for now). They helped him regain trust in people and Hajime became more willing to work with others again. While they helped Hajime open up to others again, they have yet to help him fix his fear and anxiety of being overlooked or replaceable....

With the encouragement of his two best friends, Hajime begins to write a novel in hopes of being able to stand out on his own. However, because of his insecurities and fears, he still has difficulties writing his novel. He still hasn't overcome the feeling that people will not accept him or recognize him for his achievements.

(Upon completion of his Social Link: Hajime realizes the reason why he was unable to finish a single chapter of his novel is because he was writing the novel as a way to stand out on his own. This caused pressure on him and his already deep rooted fears of being overlooked made it difficult for him to write. He'll then write for the joy of writing and not because he has to achieve something. Hajime will then complete a short story and then tell his friend that he had showed it to his family who all state they are proud of him for what he has achieved. Hajime will then realize that he is his own person and that there is no need to worry about comparing what he had accomplished during his life to his brothers' accomplishments because they are all different and unique. He'll accept the fact that he has unexpected and unlimited possibilities in his future.)

Trivia:
His two best friends nicknamed him "Novel" since he's always trying to finish writing a novel...however hasn't gotten close to his goal yet... (feel free to call him "Novel" if you wish but he only prefers his close friends to call him this) Recently, Mio has stopped calling him by this old nickname since she now views it as "childish"
He has once dyed his hair white because a friend of his kept plucking out his white hairs. Hajime had hoped that having a complete head of white hair would stop his friend from pulling out his hair.... unfortunately that wasn't the case... (He lost a lot of hair that year)
Hajime often feeds stray cats that wander around near the campus. His favorite of the bunch is a black cat named Bastion (bonus cameo). (He never actually keeps Bastion as his own pet because Bastion likes to wander around all over the place and can be very destructive at times when he's playing)
Although Hajime tries his hardest to write a novel... he has never once finished writing a single chapter.
If Hajime ever asks you to proofread his writing, he often panics at the last minutes and then destroys the document before you can have a chance to read anything.
Needs reading glasses (so he only wears glasses when he's reading or writing)
Hajime's surprisingly BAD at cooking. Because his family had cooks to prepare their meals for them, he has very little kitchen experience... It's rumored that he burnt juice before...
Hajime feels uncomfortable when people learn of his family's wealth. He prefers not to speak of it and rarely invites people over to his home.
Hajime plays the piano, but dislikes to play it in front of people he does not know well
