Personality:
Brooke is a very focused, hard-working individual. She can be strict with others and this makes her appear intimidating at times. While she can be blunt, Brooke does not want to sugar-coat anything because she believes that sugar-coating does more harm than good. She is a highly organized person and can get flustered if things do not go according to plan. 

History:
From a very young age, Brooke's life had revolved around academics. Her parents, both doctors, were focused on getting Brooke on the track to an Ivy League college. Monday through Fridays were reserved for school. After class, it was off to math club or to the library for studying. Saturdays were for Chinese school, ballet class, and art class. On Sundays, there were piano and violin lessons to go to. There was always something to do every day.

Despite the good grades and academic awards, Brooke felt very lost in life. With no particular goals for her future, she is at a loss for what to major in when she heads for college.

However, there was one thing she was certain she did not want in her future... and that was Digimon. Brooke was quite aware that while most Digimon did not mean humanity any harm, she did not want any of the violence or fighting that came with being partnered to a Digimon.

One day, on her way to the library, Brooke was caught up in a glitch that sent her tumbling into the Digital World. It was there that she met a Kyaromon who offered to become her Digimon partner and guide her back home. Brooke, however, refused this offer and stormed off into the wilderness to find her own way home.

Unfortunately, while wondering around lost in the forest, Brooke and Kyaromon were attacked by a Kuwagamon. The Kyaromon bravely tried to defend Brooke against the other Digimon, but it was easily tossed aside by the other monster. Cornered and terrified, Brooke was certain that she was about to meet a gruesome end.

It was then, Kalfumon decided to show himself. While he admits it was noble of Kyaromon for trying to defend Brooke, the tiny creature is not much of a partner Digimon if it can't defend its human. He offers to become Brooke's partner in exchange for her being his catalyst for evolution. Seeing no other way out, Brooke agrees to become Kalfumon's partner...

She's close with her cousin, Irene Tsang.
Despite her strict upbringing, Brooke has a very close relationship with her parents. One of her greatest fears is to be a disappointment to them.

Name Origin: Kalfu is one of the Petwo aspects of the spirit Papa Legba. As his name indicates, he also controls the crossroads and has the power to grant or deny access to all other Loa, or spirits, and he allows the "crossing" of bad luck, deliberate destruction, misfortune, and injustices
